WEEKLY CLASSES
Penny Sanderson’s friendly, relaxed classes run weekly, choose from Tuesday or Friday mornings (fully booked atm) from 9.30am to 12.30pm during term time.
Penny also runs a Taster Class occasionally, so you can give try as a one off or as a taster before signing up for the weekly classes.

In this pottery workshop you'll be using plants, materials and letter stamps to make some unique personalised pieces of pottery.
''If you've ever been to one of my workshops before, you'll know how fun and relaxing it is working with clay and looking at the different imprints you can make.
The workshop will start off with some experimenting and playing with the clay and when you feel confident with the techniques we'll move onto making your pieces.
You shall make a decorative hanging of your choice, a bud vase, a little pot and a trinket dish.
Your pottery will have to be dried, fired and glazed after the workshop (approximately 3 weeks to finish it), so I will actually glaze your pottery to any colours you want. However on the day I will bring some pieces of pottery already fired so you can have a go at glazing one piece, so you get to experience the whole process.''

Thursday 14th November 10.30am to 12.30pm
Join Sarah for a fun and creative workshop making 5 Christmas decorations and glazing a trinket dish. Using fresh and dried plants, fabrics and letter stamps to make personalise and decorate, making them as simple or decorative as you want. Once the making is finished, you'll get to glaze a small pre-made and fired trinket dish.
After the workshop, the pottery is taken away to be dried and fired.
There is a choice of what you'd like to do regarding glazing your pottery. Sarah normally glazes the pottery to your colour specifications and then returns it 2-3 weeks later. However, there is a glazing workshop on the 28th November if you want to return and paint and glaze your pottery yourself then you can book yourself onto that workshop too.

Thursday 21st November 10.30am - 12.30pm
This NEW workshop will involve making 8 personalised tags, using plants, fabrics and letter stamps to make some really unusual tags, which can be kept by the recipient as a lovely keepsake.
Sarah will also bring some trinket dishes that I have made, so you can glaze one of them to keep and really experience the whole making process.
Your pottery will then be taken away to be, dried, fired and if you like, glazed.
There are 2 options for the glazing. Sarah normally glazes it to your colour specifications, alternatively you can return by booking the workshop a week later (28th Nov) and paint/glaze it yourself. People often find the painting process just as relaxing and enjoyable. The pottery will then be ready at the beginning of December for collection.

GLAZING YOUR POTTERY
Thurs 28th November - 10.30am to 12.30pm
This workshop is for painting and glazing your pottery pieces you made with Sarah either in the Christmas Decoration workshop 14th November or Gift Tags workshop 21st November or both.
Sarah will bring back your fired pottery and you can spend a relaxing 2 hours painting and glazing your pieces, she'll also bring the dipping glaze for you to have a go, so you get to experience the whole process.
Your pottery will be ready for collection a couple of days later, once it's had it's had the final firing in the kiln.

Thursday 29th August 10.30am - 12.30pm
''We shall start the workshop by looking at some basic pottery techniques and start by making a pinch pot animal, the children can choose which animal they would like to make. Then we'll move onto making a cylinder pot, like a pencil pot holder or plant pot. I'll give the children various ideas for how to decorate their pot, then let them work on it themselves.
After the workshop, I'll take away the pottery, dry it, fire it and glaze it, if your child wants me to. (We can discuss that on the day), then return the pottery approximately 2-3 weeks later.''

We'll create a fresh flower bouquet with gorgeous seasonal flowers and foliage. I'll share with you learnings from my time training at The Cambridge Flower School. You'll also package up your bouquet and add a water bubble to keep your flowers fresh on the way home.

Create a fabulous print, just like these in this fun workshop! You will learn how to draw a chicken or bird, how to simplify and exaggerate your drawings to create an impactful image suitable for translating into print.
By the end of the workshop you will have learnt the basic principles of press printing and produced 2 x A2 prints that you will finish by hand with coloured ink and paint.
ABOUT SABINA
Sabina is a fully-qualified art teacher. The bulk of her teaching experience before having her own children was in secondary school and 6th form college, where she taught Art and Design, Fine Art, Graphics and Textiles. These days, Sabina teaches younger children (age 7 to 12) face to face locally and she also teaches online. In addition to teaching, Sabina is a practising illustrator. Lino cut is great fun to do and with inspiration and guidance from Sabina, I can't wait to see what gets created! You'll learn the basic principles of lino cut printing and all about the materials and equipment that is used. By the end of the workshops, you'll have created a set of A6 prints on paper to take home with you.
